Community Safety Workshops
The community is invited to attend free safety workshops hosted by the Torrance Police Department. Each workshop is scheduled from 6:00 to 7:30 PM and will take place at the Torrance Police Department (3300 Civic Center Dr.) Attendance is limited to the first 50 people who register. Keeping our families safe from online threats
The goal of these workshops is to teach people how to protect themselves, their loved ones and their property. The safety topics will be taught by Police Officers with expertise in their particular subject matter.
Relay for Life 2010
One in three people will be diagnosed with cancer during their lifetime. The American Cancer Society Relay For Life® unites communities across the country each year to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that takes too much. This year marks the beginning of our celebration of 26 years of Relay For Life®. Won't you join us this year and be a part of Relay? Tip A Cop benefitting South Bay Special Olympics
The Torrance Police Department s hosting another Tip a Cop event on March 25th and April 22nd. ALL proceeds from the Tip A Cop event go directly to the South Bay Special Olympics to help support the Olympians. Partners in Policing
The next Partners in Policing (PIP) class will begin in the Spring at the Torrance Police Department. This class is open to all Torrance residents, people who work in Torrance or people that have some other affiliation to to the City (i.e. attend school in Torrance, are members of a church in Torrance, are members of a Torrance based civic groups such as Kiwanis, Rotary, etc or have some other City ties).
