Below is a list of primary and alternate frequencies we would like to test on the 5th Monday Drill this Monday, August 30th. All zip captains or their appointed alternates will be at their primary ADCs and will take check-ins from their respective TARA member and visitors. Use the primary frequency listed below to check in at your local ADC at 1900 hours. There will be no call up list, practice message or SSTV, but you can give the ADC operator your hours as usual. Please program your radios to both of your zip code's primary and alternate frequencies ahead of time.

October 21, 2010 at 10:21 am (10-21 @ 10:21) is the date and time of this year's The Great Southern California ShakeOut http://shakeout.org/ and all three DSV groups will be conducting a drill. As last year and two years ago when we participated In a level 2 city wide drill, the 21st is Thursday and so we are asking all the working stiffs to try to get the day or at least the morning off so you can play with us. Failing that, ask your boss to set up a drill; even if all you do is duck, cover and hold. Also if you cannot be with us, at least try to check into the K6TPD repeater and give a status report. Although all DSV groups are registered as a part of the some 4+ million participants, you can register as an individual at the link above as well. Also ask your boss to register at http://www.shakeout.org/businesses/. If you know or even think you will be available to work in this most important DSV drill, contact Chuck, KG6RPN, page 7 of your 2009 TARA roster.
