TARA messages for the week of December 29, 2008. There are two messages:
1) In our quest to become a better emergency communications organizaiton, we are looking for the following:
Interim chair for our on-going basic radio training (will work with Stu K9STU after his recovery from surgery).
Hams to operate from the Area Disaster Centers:
El Retiro Branch Library 90277.
Sea-Aire Golf Course 90505.
Bartlett Center 90501.
Volunteers may contact Chuck Galbasin KG6RPN, who is listed on page 7 of your 2008 TARA Roster.
2) This Monday night at 7:45 PM is the monthly TARA Board of Directors meeting in the upstairs seminar room at TPD. All TARA members are invited to attend.
3) This coming Tuesday at 12:30 PM is the monthly TARA lunch. Anyone interested is invited to this no-business social event, currently held at Home Town Buffet on Carson just west of Madrona.
4) The TARA Board of Directors meets at 7:30 PM on the first Monday of each month in the Police Department's upstairs Seminar Room. All TARA members and applicants are invited to attend. We need your fresh ideas and enthusiasm to keep TARA growing and vital.
